SweetHeart

This past weekend was Sigma Chi Sweetheart Formal in New Orleans, and let me just tell you it was wonderful. Hands down one of the best weekends I have ever had.
Friday night Matt, MK, Hamilton, I got down there around 9:00 and quickly changed then hit Bourbon.

The night was wonderful and didn't quite end until......5:30 a.m. And I loved every minute.
Saturday was the formal which started with a delicious dinner at Palace Cafe.
The food was amazing; as was the formal. I danced literally all night.
We did go to bed a little earlier on Saturday, a whopping 4:00 a.m. I have never stayed awake that long in my life and it was definitely an experience. Oh-and this girl won $175 at Harrah's Casino.

I hope your weekend was great..cheers to the coming one!

Happy Valentine's Day!!
I know the holiday is slightly cheesy which is why Matt and I choose to never go out on the actual night. Weird I know but this little tradtion started some 5 years ago.
Five.
That sounds so long outloud. I am very blessed to have had someone so wonderful for five previous Valentine's days..and I hope for several more :) I am so not the cheesy person who thinks or much less says any of this I guess all the red, flowers, hearts, ect has just got me feeling a little sentimental. So here's to you all having a CHEESEY red heart filled happy day today!

Love love love,

MY SISTER>YOUR SISTER.

Shoutout to my badass little sister. Sorry, but that adjective is necessary. This weekend Tupelo Co-Ed competed in UCA Nationals. They made it to finals and got 11th in the nation. I think thats a pretttttty big deal. Such.Ballers. I'm so very proud so I had to brag a teeny bit. Here's some pictures I stole from random tweets during the weekend.

Weekend. Weekend. Weekend.
This has been a weekend for the books. Sweet Katie was in Texas but let me tell you the three of us left in Starkville on Cedar Lane have had some major roomie time. We've watched movies, been out and about, had dessert at Chili's, been out again, napped three-deep in Kathleen's bed, made homemade salsa, and best of all had brunch at Restaurant Tyler.
Restaurant Tyler is just some kind of delicious. I highly recommend their brunch.
I also squeezed in a little time with some great high school friends who were in town.
Life. Is. So. Very. Good.
Very. Very. Very. Good.
Happy Superbowl y'all!

"Calm After the Storm"

Thunderstorms.
For some reason, as long as there is no hint of a tornado, then I am in love with them. The rain, especially on our tin roof. Thunder crashing.
There is something so powerful and strong in a storm that just makes all my troubles seem much smaller than they really are.
Tonight as it started storming, being the sweet girlfriend that I am I went FLYING out the door to put Matt's puppy, Rooster, inside so the little guy didn't get soaked. After that fiasco, I comfortably snuggled up in my bed. I put homework aside. Found a good show on Netflix and cuddled up with my favorite guy ....Maxx. That's cheesy I know, but I mean how can you resist that face? He is the perfect little snuggle buddy. Nights like this make everything seem okay, because after the storm there is always a peaceful feelings,
"the calm after the storm".
Thinking about that gives me peace, no matter what storm we may all be going through, find peace in knowing that God will deliver you into the calm after the storm. This is something I am currently repeating to myself over and over again as my full semester starts kicking in with test, speeches, and projects. I think the more I learn to let God handle it the better he equips me to handle it. There is something unbelievable comforting in knowing that he is there to listen to all my problems.
ALL OF THEM and God takes it all from you. If that doesn't make you feel loved then I don't know what will.
God. Is. Good.

World's best snuggler.

I hope your calm after the storm was as good as mine was tonight....
I split a footlong chili cheese coney with Matt. Now that my friends is a wonderful wonderful relationship. Splitting a footlong hotdog.
yum.
